WHEN IT RAINS IT POURS
After dragging J.R. through the portal, Jonah is alone in the Forest, and it's now 4:30 pm. Having not eaten since early morning, Jonah helps himself to the food at the abandoned campsite. After stuffing his face with trail mix and potato chips, he is re-energized for the trail; Jonah packs some food to return to the tent, loads up the golf cart, and zooms back to his campsite. On his way back, he notices a shiny glare that keeps reflecting in his direction. Some object was on the ground, so he stopped his cart to get out. He reaches down in the rubble and pulls up an earring. Looking at it, Jonah begins to study the details and sees initials on the back GH, the same as his sisters. Hesitating for a moment to hold it, he says âNaahâ and then tosses it back on the ground and continues to the tent. As Jonah rides through the Forest, He starts to see buildings similar to a city through the trees, which don't look familiar. As he continues, he approaches a street, he says âWelcome to Coral Town?â Looking at a sign. Jonah grew up in Lawder Hill and rarely traveled over to Coral Town because it was their biggest rivalry. Plus, his parents always drove since he wasnât old enough to dive yet. He didnât know his way back and needed directions because his phone and map were in his bag when it got ruined; he stepped on the gas pedal harder until he reached the concrete sidewalk and parked his cart. Walking around looking to his left and t his right constantly to enter the first store he could find. âPssst!Pssst!â Looking around to see where that sound was coming from, Jonah saw a kid wearing glasses, a wig, and fake facial hair waving Jonah to get out of plain sight and come behind the building. Looking around the busy street back, headed towards the side of the store, Jonah makes eye contact with no one. âPlease don't say anything; listen; whatever you're here to do, hurry up and do it and leave fastâ. Said an unfamiliar voice. âBy the way, my name is Eugene, and this place might look fun, but remember to keep your guard up. Something mysterious is happening here; everyone in town has been acting weird since Ms. Mirage came.â explained Eugene. âMs. Mirage? she sounds like a make-believe character, heh heh,â laughs Jonah. âShe's real, and you don't want to get on her bad side. â Warned Eugene. âThis town used to have family game nights; Friday nights, the movies and bowling alleys were packed, and our favorite food spot in town, Tito's Pizza, got bought out and is now a vitamin store owned by Ms. Mirage.â She owns almost every store in town; when I went into the vitamin store and bought some vitamins. When I ate them, I started to feel weird, like I was under a spell.
